the female fire came to me
fired up my lungs i needed breathe
spreading through the space so selfishly
tried to burn the house i was born in

female lighthouse on the hill
bright sparkling rafters over me
isolated cabin in the light
was reduced to ashes in no time

fire on the corner, didn’t let me grow
went all round my body, then went off

and it’s night all the time, then i wonder
why the fire inside shines no longer
and my cremated brain still can ponder
cos i’m trying to shout each time louder

extinguishable fire, ran from me
crashed against the rocks, undid the print
then it disappeared against the wind
left my soul alone and unredeemed
