lyrics

the car fell down right through the naval slope
her parents died but she escaped unharmed
she covered them in dry leaves and resin
she knew she had a new life to begin

she looked for firewood near the chestnut trees
with lots of gathered tears that never flowed
the owls began to hoot and then they flew
there was no one and no one ever knew

she lighted fire, put the bodies in the pyre
crossed the forest screaming
“there’s no one for me! why can’t i make it higher?”

she started hunting little animals
she hid at night inside the profound caves
too many wolves and wild beasts waiting for
too many dangers, soon she lost control

she felt so lonely trapped in the deep throat
Went to the river and her bareness bloomed
soon truth invaded her now weakened brain
there was no one and no one ever waved

Went back to fire, threw herself into the pyre
fled from life screaming
“there’s no one for me! why can’t i make it higher?”

the throat’s not empty, she’s a nymph, a waterfall
